12. Drink fish oil

Consumption of fish oil contains omega-3 fatty acids which can reduce migraines and headache and also promotes heart health. 

Fish oil can be used to reduce blood clotting, inflammation, treat lower blood pressure, thus it reduces migraines and headache by reducing the inflammation of blood cells that compress and pinch our nerves.

1.      Mix 1 tablespoon of fish oil with a glass of orange juice or carrots juice or apple juice and drink it. Repeat this once or twice a day.
2.      Follow the dose instructions on the bottle, if you are consuming fish oil capsules.


13. Peppermint oil on handkerchief

Sprinkle 4-5 drops of peppermint oil on your handkerchief and breathe in several times. You can also use lavender oil instead of peppermint oil.


14. Basil

Basil is an amazing herb which works as a muscle relaxant; it is very beneficial in treatment of headaches caused by stress, tension and muscles contraction.

1.      Prepare 1 tablespoon paste of fresh basil leaves and add it in your regular tea. Drink this hot tea 2-3 times a day.

2.      Chew 5-6 fresh basil leaves thoroughly and then drink cup of warm water. Do this 2-3 times a day or massage your head for few minute with pure basil oil.



15. Vicks Vaporub

Inhale some of Vicks Vaporub, apply on the nose and apply some on temples, press area above the nose with thumb (are between the eyes) for few minutes.


16. Hot water therapy

Soak your feet in tolerable hot water; this will lessen your headache. This hot water footbath therapy will alleviate pressure on the blood vessels in the head. 



18. Ginger tea

Drink hot ginger tea. Add 2 tablespoon of fresh ginger juice or paste in your regular tea. Follow this 2-3 times a day.


19. Ginger vapors

Boil 1 tablespoon ginger powder or raw ginger pieces in 2 glasses of water for few minutes, and inhale the vapor.


20. Apply ginger & apple cider vinegar

Take 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger paste or dry ginger powder; mix it with some apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and apply this mixture on the forehead.



21. Ginger juice with lemon

Mix 1 tablespoon of ginger juice or paste with 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Consume it 2-3 times a day to get rid of headache.



22. Honey with ginger

Add 1 tablespoon of honey in 1 tablespoon of ginger juice and consume this mixture. Ginger is very useful in migraine. 


23. Rosemary tea

Drink rosemary tea twice in a day. Add 1 teaspoon of the rosemary’s dried herb in 2 cup of boiling water boil for 10 minutes, strain it, and drink hot.


24. Apples

Apples and apple cider vinegar contain some elements that can balance the alkaline and acidic levels in our body and gives you relief from pain.

1.      Cut medium size apple and sprinkle some black salt or black pepper on it. Consume it twice a day.
2.      Add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to glass of water and drink it. Repeat this twice a day.


25. Sour pickle

Consume 1-2 tablespoon of sour pickle, it works amazingly.


26. Dehydration

Sometimes dehydration can be the cause behind your headache. In fact, the lack of water influences the supply of oxygen and blood in our body which causes a headache. Hence, you have to drink a cool (not chilled) glass of water. If dehydration is the reason behind headache, water can treat it within few minutes. 


27. Eye exercise

Close your eyes strongly for 10 seconds and open them slowly, do this 5-10 times.


28. Coriander juice

Apply 1 tablespoon fresh coriander juice on forehead and temples to reduce headache
