Losing weight can be a hard struggle. Changing your eating habits and lifestyle is very difficult. But healthy food and workouts might not be enough to fast weight loss. Now days, many packaged foodstuffs in the market contains hidden calories in large quantity.

A healthy human being must have 2,000 calorie per day, this calorie diet should have less than 70 grams of fat, less than 25 grams saturated; 300 - 350 grams of total carbohydrate, including sugars and 2,500 milligrams of sodium.

1. White Bread

Though white bread is said to be a staple item in nearly every pantry, it does not have any dietary value. It contains large amount of sugar and does not satisfy one’s hunger. So, a few hours after consuming white bread, a person will definitely feel hungry and start hunting for snacks.


2. Whole Wheat Pasta

Though replacing brown pasta with regular white pasta indicates healthy diet, it can be an obstacle for losing weight. Whole wheat pastas are said to have high carbohydrates, which when digested, becomes sugars in one’s body. These whole wheat pastas might also have as much of calories as white pasta brands. Replacing pasta with spaghetti squash gives lesser carbohydrate intake and it would be a good choice.



3. Fried Foods

Almost everyone knows that fried foods items including chicken nuggets, French fries, onion rings, burgers, doughnuts, deep fried chicken and the like, are not healthy food options and that these should be avoided as much as possible.

These foods can be connected to piles, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, higher cholesterol levels and elevated blood pressure. Elevated Cholesterol & blood pressure levels diminish one’s cardiovascular strength and make them prone to heart disease & strokes.

It is advisable to use homemade sauces or one can purchase certain brands that contain lesser quantity of the stuff that are to be avoided in their diet.

In the common hot dogs available in the market, around 80% of calories are made of fat – especially the saturated fats that are unhealthy. If one frequently eats processed meats such as hot dogs, they are prone to be exposed to risk of colon cancer & heart disease.

In general, one should try to keep away from appetizers as they are packed with calories. Those who are undertaking diet for weight loss, appetizers are strictly to be avoided. It is advisable to stick to the main course which has adequate amount of nutrition for one’s body and satisfies hunger. 16. Pickles

Though pickles have lesser calorie & fat content, they are rich in sodium which is not good. They will get an acidic taste but at the same time, they need not worry about bloating caused by salts.

Most of the soy available now are genetically modified (GM) ones. Human bodies are not intended to process such GM foods. Hence, it is advised to avoid all GM foods.  Moreover, soy also has elevated levels of estrogen like compounds. These compounds interfere with human’s normal hormonal balance.

Certain oils are better for health than few others. Vegetable oil is one such not-so-good oils. Replacing unsweetened apple sauce with oil while cooking could be a better alternative.

5.      Rice cakes, sugar free candy, kale chips, hummus and veggies. Avoid fatty foods such as butter, purified butter, cheese, whole milk yogurt, cream etc.
6.      Avoid drinking alcohol. Alcohol consist concentrated sugar from fruits. 
7.      Genetically modified & processed food like corn, soya, and corn oil (use olive oil, sesame oil.) 
8.      Salted or Smoked nuts, donuts, hot dogs, Breads, Pastas & all baked food, snacks made with white flour (Maida) 
9.      High calorie food - Artificial sugar, artificial sweeteners, puddings, smoothies, chocolate cream biscuits, Corn syrup. 
10.  Avoid meat & beef as these are loaded with saturated fats. Eggs, gluten, peanuts, corns, French fries, pies, and dairy products.
