6. Aloe Vera 

Aloe Vera gel contains 75 different nutrients and over 200 active compounds. The juicy aloe plant has been valued since ancient times as a topical treatment for skin problems, burns and several wound infections, and other. Latest evidence recommends that oral aloe might be beneficial for type 2 diabetes. Aloe gel can develop blood sugar control. 

      1.      The normal dosage for diabetes is 1 teaspoon or 15 ml of aloe Vera juice taken two times a day.
      2.      1 pint (500ml) organic apple cider vinegar & 1 pint (500ml) raw honey, mix them well together. Consume 1 tablespoon a day for 3 days.
3.      1 cup raw honey, 1 cup organic apple cider vinegar, 8 cloves garlic, mix them in blender, consume 2 or 3 teaspoons before breakfast. 

Attention

Do not consume aloe Vera juice without doctor’s consultation. Aloe Vera can interact with diabetes medications, excessive consumption of aloe Vera may lead to low sugar level in the blood (if you take the wrong dose) 

Pregnant and breastfeeding women, kids less than 12 years & people with inflammatory intestinal diseases should not take aloe Vera internally. Aloe may also interact with a number of medicines, including anesthesia medications, dioxin, laxatives, blood thinners, diuretics and diabetes medications. 



Attention for Liver Disease:  
Internal consumption of aloe Vera may cause acute hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) and it may increase liver enzymes.


7. Banaba 

Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa) is a medicinal plant that grows in India, Philippines & vast region of the Southeast Asia. Banaba has numerous ayurveda medicinal uses. It contains corosolic acid, ellagitannins in the fruit and leaves, triterpenoids, amino acid and flavonoids.



Traditional uses of the banaba leaves include brewing tea for the medicinal treatment of diabetes and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) & weight loss. Banaba Leaf Extract supply a blood sugar lowering effect similar to that of insulin in that it induces glucose transportation from the blood into body cells. 

Corosolic acid is an active element in the banaba leaf which regulates blood sugar in the body. In fact the whole banaba herb has a great glucose lowering elements. Extracts of the banaba leaf contains 3 active ingredients that control & regulate blood sugar dynamically. The corosolic acid lowers blood pressure & has insulin like properties as do some of the amino acids. 


8. Olive oil

Olive oil drastically reduces your blood sugar levels. 

1.      Take three tablespoons extra virgin olive oil every day. You can use olive oil in your daily cooking.
2.      Use small amount (1 tablespoon) of olive oil in salad. 

Olive oil also controls the inflammation in our body which destroys the insulin producing beta cells in the pancreas. Olive oil helps to lose weight as it boosts metabolism in our body. And overweight/obesity is one of the major & danger factor for diabetes.



9. Bitter melon / Karela 

Bitter melon (karela), is the common name for Momordica charantia, also well-known as African cucumber, balsam pear and bitter gourd. Bitter melon is very useful in regulating the blood sugar levels & also useful in jaundice, colitis, intestinal worms, dysentery.

Bitter gourd stimulates the pancreas to secrete insulin. The bitter melon contains insulin like peptides, including one acknowledged as polypeptide P, & alkaloids.

Charantin in bitter melon is recognized as a primary agent for blood-sugar regulation. The compound in bitter melon lowers blood glucose levels.

1.      Drink half cup juice of bitter gourd daily.
2.      Fry the bitter gourd and add pinch of salt to improve taste.



10. Indian blackberry / Jamun

Indian blackberry or Jamun seed contains small amount of calories and anti oxidant properties. The compounds in blackberry seeds slowdowns the conversion of starch into sugar. Blackberry seeds controls glucose levels in the blood. Because of blackberry seed’s astringent property it is very beneficial in frequency of urine.

1.      Take 1/4th teaspoon Blackberry seed powder with 1 teaspoon honey daily for one & half month.

2.      Eat whole fruit or drink juice of blackberry.
3.      Take 5-10 gm blackberry powder with water twice a day to prevent diabetes.


4.      Mix 1 teaspoon blackberry powder in one cup of milk or water or half a cup of curd. Consume this mixture twice a day.

5.      Dry and burn the internal bark of the black berry tree. After that there will be white ash remains. Strain the white ash and keep it in bottle. Drink 10 grams ash on an empty stomach with water in the morning and 20 grams in the afternoon, and after 1 hour of evening meals.

6.      Mix blackberry (jamun) powder, Indian gooseberry (amla) powder, and bitter gourd (karela) powder in equal quantity. Drink 1 teaspoon of this mixture once or twice daily.

7.      Drink 1 teaspoon blackberry seed powder with water on an empty stomach in early morning.
8.      You can dry the blackberry seeds in sunlight for 8-10 days & blend the dried seeds in grinder for making powder and for immediate use you can roast the wet seeds on the pan without oil, when it get crispy blend them in grinder and store the powder in air tight container or bottle.
9.      You can eat seed while eating the blackberry fruit but dried powder is very beneficial.
