Natural home remedies for Menstrual Cramps and Irregular menstrual periods 2




10. Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea has amazing antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties which help relax the uterus and relieve the spasmodic contractions that cause abdominal cramps during menstruation.

    1.    Boil 1 ½ cup of water and add 1 tablespoon of chamomile tea in it. Boil it for 8-10 minutes on slow flame. 

Strain the water and 1 tespoon of fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Drink this warm herbal tea 2 times a day during the week before your menstrual periods.

11. Flaxseed

Flaxseeds are very beneficial for reducing the intensity of abdominal and menstrual cramps. Flaxseed contains essential fatty acids which helps stabilize the progesterone production in the body. Additionally, flaxseed improves uterine functions and help cure fertility problems.

1.    Consume 1-2 tablespoons of flaxseed every day when you suffering from menstrual cramps. Or you can sprinkle flaxseed powder over a salad, yogurt, smoothie and cereal.


12. Mustard

Boil 2 liter water with 4-5 tablespoon of mustard powder, take this hot water in small tub and soak your legs in tolerable hot water, this gives you relaxing effects and relieves cramps in menstrual periods



13. Mint

1. Boil 5-8 fresh green mint leaves in your regular/ginger or black tea, drink this tea three times a day.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of fresh mint juice in pale juice or carrot juice. Do this twice a day. 

3. Prepare 1 tablespoon paste of fresh mint leaves and mix it with 1 tablespoon of honey. Consume this mixture on n empty stomach or 30 minutes after meal. Follow this 2-3 times a day for fast result.




14. Fenugreek

Add fenugreek sprouts to your regular diet. Add fenugreek sprouts in your salad or you can make Indian style fenugreek sprouts curry. 



15. Blackstrap Molasses

Blackstrap molasses is rich source of iron, calcium, vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium, manganese and selenium. Blackstrap molasses reduces blood clots and alleviate the muscles of the uterine walls. This in turn reduces abdominal cramps during menstruation.

1.    Mix 1-2 teaspoons of blackstrap molasses and 1 teaspoon of honey to cup of warm milk. Drink this mixture as soon as you start having menstrual cramps and continue the consumption several times during the day (2-3 times) as long as needed.


17. Papaya

Papaya has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, which is very helpful in reducing menstrual cramps. It contains useful nutrients such as carotene, vitamins A and C, iron, and calcium that soothes the uterine walls and relieves muscle contractions. Eat papaya to eliminate and reduce cramps, just before and during your menstrual period.




18. Carrots

For irregular menstrual periods consume glass of fresh carrot juice (add 1 teaspoon of honey to it) once or twice a day for 2 months. This will help you to regulate your menstrual cycle properly.


Excessive Bleeding during periods

To prevent and control the excessive blooding during menstrual periods, try following home remedies. 
  
1. Coriander seeds

Boil 1 teaspoon coriander seeds in 2 cup of water. Dilute the half water by boiling it. Drink this lukewarm water; you can add 1 teaspoon of sugar or 1 teaspoon of honey to it to improve taste. Do this twice a day during periods.



2. Figs, Coconut oil

Grind or crush 10-12 fresh lead buds of figs and add 1 tablespoon of warm coconut oil or sesame oil in it. Mix them well and make smooth paste of it. Apply this paste on the lower abdomen below the navel for a several hours (you can leave this for more than 1 hour) repeat the application 2-3 times a day.


3. Betel leaves

Grind or crush 2 green betel leaves and make fine paste of it. Add 1 teaspoon of honey in this paste to improve taste. Consume 1 tablespoon of this paste 3 times a day with warm water. 


How to stop sudden menstrual bleeding

Soak 1 tablespoon of Sabja seeds (chia seeds) in cup of water for overnight. Next morning, Consume this water & seeds on an empty stomach, this will stop your menstrual bleeding as soon as possible.
